This great project from Mark McKeague translates the motion of cars at a junction into sound events. The result is a synesthesia creating mixed media experience that I could listen to all day. My only criticism would be that the piece presented is so short. It would be nice too to hear some more marked changes in texture, perhaps demonstrating the difference in sounds generated by rush hour traffic and those at 03:00am.
I would also have enjoyed some information about the production of the project. How were the cars mapped? What decisions were taken about sound ranges and why?
If only cars really sounded like this traffic wouldn't be so bad.
